Return Policy
We want you to love your Backwoods candle. If something's not right, we'll make it right.
30-Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return or exchange. To start one, email us at info@backwoodsbycandlelight.com with "Return" in the subject line, and we'll send you instructions on how and where to send it back.
To qualify:
- Candles must be unused and unburned, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase.
- Room & linen sprays, reed diffusers, and rollerball oils must be unopened and unused, with seals intact, in their original packaging, with proof of purchase.
You'll be responsible for return shipping - we recommend a trackable method, since we can't issue a refund for a return that doesn't arrive back to us.
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll let you know if it's approved. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days (your bank may take a few extra days to post it). If it's been more than 15 business days since approval and you haven't seen it, reach out - we'll track it down.

Email us before you buy - we're happy to help you pick, and we'd rather get you the right scent the first time.
Exchanges
The fastest way to get a different scent or item is to return what you have, and place a new order once your return is approved - that way you're not waiting on us to receive the old item first.
Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Item
This one's on us, no return window required. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us right away with:
- A close-up photo of the damaged item
- A photo of the box and all packaging
- A photo of the shipping label
We'll make it right - a replacement or a refund, your choice.
